Breakdown of the result of the 2015 Scottish Independence Referendum.

The official result of the Scottish Independence Referendum as declared by Mary Pitcaithley, the Chief Counting Officer is as follows:

  1. The total number of ballot papers counted in the referendum for the whole of Scotland was 3,623,344.  The turnout was 84.6%
  2. The total number of votes cast in favour of each answer to the referendum question for the whole of Scotland was as follows:

Lorraine McMillan, the Counting Officer for the East Renfrewshire Council area, declared the local total of votes cast in the Scottish Independence Referendum as follows:
