Bins, recycling and rubbish

I dispose of nappies/incontinence products

It would be unhygienic to leave my bin for three weeks before being emptied. What should I do?

Studies show that there is no increased risk to public health when household waste, including nappies and incontinence products, is stored for three weeks. We recommend that you seal your used nappies or incontinence products in a liner in order to reduce any unpleasant odours.

If you fully utilise your kerbside recycling but find you struggle with capacity in your grey bin due to 'medical waste' which may include incontinence pads, you can apply for an Additional Bin.
