Changes to National Entitlement Cards (NEC) For disabled people
National Entitlement Cards disabled people are changing, with a new type of smart card replacing them by December 2016.

As a result of improved smart ticketing technology, all National Entitlement Cards used to access concessionary travel are being replaced by December 2016.
Before your old card expires a new style card will be sent to your registered address.
- To continue accessing concessionary travel you need to start using this new card immediately and destroy any old bus passes now
- If you try to use your old card and it fails you may be required to pay the full fare for your journey.
If you have an old style card you can pop into one of our offices with the card and one of our Customer Services Officers will request that a new style card be posted to your registered address. If you have changed your address please provide proof of your new address to enable us to amend your record to ensure your card goes to the correct address.
