All adults over the age of 16 who have a combined severe sight and hearing loss, dual sensory impaired and deafblind.

Description of your service

Deafblind Scotland offers a variety of services such as communication and linguistic access advice, advice navigating self-directed support, information and formatting services, welfare rights support, accredited training and a guide/communicator service. Our Vision: "A society in which deafblind people have the permanent support and recognition necessary to be equal citizens."

Our aims:

  • to help deafblind people in Scotland live as rightful members of their own communities and to encourage and support contact between deafblind people and sighted hearing people
  • to liaise with health and social service providers to make appropriate assistance available to deafblind people in Scotland
  • to work in partnership with statutory and other agencies to improve the quality of life of deafblind people
  • to raise awareness of both the needs and potential of deafblind people

Availability of your service

7 days per week 8am to 11pm

Out side these times by negotiation.

Most recent inspection was carried out on the 15th of August 2015, grades awarded were:
