Description of your service

The Mungo Foundation provides care and support in different settings to children and adults with various support needs.  Always driven by our values of Life Justice Community we work in partnership with people we support, families and carers, health and local authority commissioners and staff to agree a support plan that will ensure each individual meets their own personal outcomes as well as those of the commissioned service.

In addition to managing a number of services that are block funded by local authorities we also support many people who have been assessed as being entitled to an Individual Budget under Self Directed Support legislation.  Using person centred planning approaches we work with our customers to agree how people want to be supported and what their Individual Budget is to be used for.  From this we develop an Outcome Based Support Plan.

Using your Individual Budget we can provide -

  • support in your own home to maintain your tenancy or with personal care
  • person centred support planning and reviews
  • support to access local facilities
  • access and support to day and evening and weekend activities
  • access and support to local colleges and courses
  • support to take holidays or short breaks by yourself, with family or with friends
  • support with managing your Individual Budget and personal money
  • support to enter employment or volunteer work
  • training and learning programmes for you, your staff or others involved in your life and support
  • benefit and welfare support from our Welfare Rights Advisor
  • Support to recruit and train staff

The Mungo Foundation operates in a person centred and flexible way. We can tailor our options to meet your particular needs and requirements.
