Know where to vote ahead of the UK General Election

Do you know the location of your polling station to vote on 8 June?

East Renfrewshire Returning Officer with Election Team

Residents who are eligible to vote in next month's General Election are reminded to use an 'X' to cast their vote.

The poll will be held on 8 June 2017, where voters will make their choice on which candidate they wish to represent the East Renfrewshire constituency within the UK Parliament.

Make your vote count by marking your paper with an 'X'. We want to make sure everyone's vote counts, whether they are voting by post or in person at a polling place on 8 June. When filling in your postal vote make sure you put in the correct date of birth and signature. Your ballot paper will not be counted if there is a mistake in it.
East Renfrewshire's Returning Officer - Lorraine McMillan

Polling stations will be open on 8 June from 7am to 10pm for those voting in person.

It is important to check your polling card in advance so you know where to vote. You can check your polling station details by using the polling station locator.

EU voters and young people aged 16 and 17 are not eligible to vote in the UK General Election.

Residents who cannot make it to their polling station on election day are reminded that they can appoint a proxy up until Wednesday 31 May at 5pm, which allows someone else to vote on your behalf. You can also apply for an emergency proxy up until 5pm on polling day.

For more information, visit the elections and voting page or the About My Vote website.

You can check whether you are on the electoral register at your local library or by contacting the Electoral Registration Office on 0300 300 0150 or ero@renfrewshire.vjb.gov.uk
