Our Customer Service opening hours are 8.45am - 4.45pm, Monday to Friday. The Payment Centre hours are 9am - 4.15pm, with only credit/debit card payments (not cash) between 1pm and 2pm.

Live chat to help recruit foster carers


The Council is currently running a campaign to secure more foster carers for young people aged 16-21, and to help residents with any initial enquiries about fostering, we will have one of our team ready to talk on Live Chat on Monday 27th November from 2pm - 4:45pm.

Live Chat is one of the most popular ways that residents choose to contact the Council.  It's ordinarily looked after by our Customer First team who help residents with a range of enquiries from booking a bulky uplift to paying rents.   For this special almost three hour slot, anyone wishing to ask any questions about fostering 16-21 year olds, will be connected directly to a social worker from our children and families team.

Live Chat is easy to use and is an informal way for residents to ask any questions they may have about this unique fostering role.
