Annual Events 2008-2009

Annual inland outing to Llandudno, North Wales will be held on Friday 25th July 2008 for three days. For further information please contact Dr. Nirmal Dhar (0141 639 7992)

The second cultural show of this year will be held on Saturday, 23rd August 2008 at Woodside Hall, 36 Glenfarg Street, Glasgow G21 7QF at 6.30pm.

A cultural tour will be held on Saturday 30th August 2008 to present  a dance show to Edinburgh Mela on behalf of Bengali Performing Arts. Details will be available from Dr. Babulayeb Mukhopadhyay (0141 959 6171)

Annual overseas outing to Majorca, Spain will be held on Friday 19th September 2008 for seven days. For further information please contact Dr. Nirmal Dhar (0141 639 7992)

Bengali Performing Arts has organised a meeting to give a reception to Valerie Taylor in recognition of her lifetime dedication for the cause of the people with disability in Bangladesh . This meeting will be held in Hairmyres Hospital auditorium on Saturday 11th October 2008 at 1pm. Light refreshment will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The third cultural show of the year will be held on Saturday 1st November 2008 at Eastwood Park Theatre, Rouken Glen Road, G46 6UG, featuring the versatile folk singer Utpalendu Chowdhury with his musician. For further information please contact Dr. Nirmal Dhar (0141 639 7992)

The fourth cultural show of the year will be held on Saturday 7th March 2009 at Eastwood Park Theatre, Rouken Glen Road, G46 6UG  Further details will be available from  Dr. Nirmal Dhar (0141 639 7992)
