Drama - Children and Young People

Laugh Out Loud

A four day project running from Tuesday 21st to Friday 24th July for 8 – 12 year olds. Participants will learn a variety of different comedy techniques and create their own sketch show for performance on the Friday evening.

Inside-Out

An outdoor project for 12 – 18 year olds running from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th August. Here we will uncover the hidden worlds in Rouken Glen Park to create a unique performance event (with Eastwood Park Theatre as our bad weather back-up).

Improvisation

Tuesday 21st July
A workshop looking at how to develop the openness and spontaneity needed for improvised performance. If you ever fancied breaking from the script or getting up on Who’s Line is it Anyway, this is for you.

Stanislavski

Wednesday 5th August
This workshop will cover the basic principles introduced by Constantin Stanislavski for realistic acting. Entirely practical we will use fragments of scripts to explore the potential of motivation and character study.

Painting in the Park

Plein Aire painting, synonymous with Impressionism  has been popular since the mid 19th century. It marked a distinct departure from more laboured studio pieces and quickly gained a reputation for attractive informality and spontaneity. Learn some impressionist techniques during these tutored painting days and feel the benefit of a freer, broader approach.

As numbers are restricted to eight per day booking is advisable. To book phone Janet Forry on 0141 577 3679  Easels and chairs provided. Bring your own materials and assemble at Rouken Glen Pavillion by 10.00 am
