News!!
NTS Exchange
Our 16 – 25 youth drama group have been accepted onto Exchange, a National Theatre of Scotland programme that brings together groups of young theatre-makers from across Scotland and beyond. As one of the lucky youth theatre groups selected we will be supported, both financially and professionally, to create a new piece of quality contemporary theatre that is devised and performed entirely by the group themselves. Each piece of theatre is then performed as part of the Exchange festival week which will take place at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews from Monday 5 to Saturday 10 July 2010.
There may be a couple of extra places for this project, including for those interested in technical theatre arts or scriptwriting, so if you would like to find out more please contact Fiona Ferguson, Arts Development Officer on 0141 577 3710 or fiona.ferguson@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk
“Exchange sounds awesome and I am so looking forward to meeting the other groups. Their directors seem really nice and up for a lot of fun work. The five master classes also sound amazing and they covera wide range of different interests. This year’s festival will be so cool and I can’t wait to get more involved and start planning our show!” Rebecca Hanssen, EPT 16 – 25 member
