Searching the catalogue is quick and simple, and improved search facilities make finding your books much easier. See promotions of our latest displays, our most popular titles and authors, and our recent additions to stock.
Renewals
You can renew your loans at your local library with your library card, online through the catalogue, or by telephone or letter, quoting your library barcode.
If you want to renew CDs and DVDs, the cost of another hire charge for each item will be added to your account. This also applies if you renew online.
You can have up to a maximum of four renewals. Items reserved by another borrower cannot be renewed.
Reservations
Log in to the catalogue to reserve any item which is currently on loan. We will tell you when it is ready for collection. This service is free of charge. Even if we do not have a copy of the item you want, we will try to borrow it from another library, or we will consider buying a copy if it is in print.
Improved reservations service
East Renfrewshire Library and Information Service has introduced a new way of dealing with reservations. If you have registered your e-mail address with us we will now send an e-mail message to let you know that the items you have requested are ready and awaiting for collection at your local library.
The new reservations service will be quicker, more efficient and more environmentally friendly than sending out letters to all of our customers. If you would like to take advantage of the new service just ensure that library staff have a note of your e-mail address and we'll do the rest.
