2008 Summer Reading Challenge

Team Read Logo

Team Read is the summer reading challenge in your community library for all East Renfrewshire primary and nursery pupils.

How It Works

When you join the Team Read at your community library you will receive a membership card and a fold-out poster. The aim of the challenge is to stretch yourself! We’re asking you to read six books from the library this summer. They can be any books you like – story books, fact books, picture books, joke books – it’s up to you.

There are 6 sets of stickers to collect. You can use these stickers to fill in the gaps on the fold-out poster. When you have read two books you’ve reached the bronze stage, when you have read 4 books you’ve reached the silver stage and when you have read 6 books you’ve reached gold stage and have completed the challenge.

When you have read 3 books you will receive a Mr Stretch to encourage you to continue with the challenge. When you have completed the challenge you will receive a Team Read Kit Bag, a certificate and a medal.

Don’t worry if you are not a member of the library, it is really easy to join, just ask at your community library.
