Overview
Barrhead Sports centre is conveniently located on Barrhead Main Street with ample free parking.The centre is a busy hub of activity including the following clubs which use the facility for their club nights: Boxing Club, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Karate, Trampoline Club, Thai Boxing, Gymnastics, Junior Badminton and sequence Dance
This excellent facility has swimming pools, games hall, squash courts, amenities hall, cafe and gym. The Action Zone gym, with 80 workstations, is one of the biggest and best-equipped gyms in the West of Scotland.

Public Holidays 2008
During public holidays the swimming pool will be closed, the facility will open for gym customers only at the following times
21st July Building open 9.00 am to 3.00pm

Live Active Exercise Referral Scheme
East Renfrewshire Council work in partnership with Greater Glasgow Health Board to provide an exercise Referral Scheme for customers in the health board area.

Booking Procedure
Bookings can be taken either in person or by phone during normal opening hours (except gym inductions which should be booked in person).
Leisure Card holders or Action Zone members may book up to 7 days in advance. Non-card holders may book 2 days in advance.
Please note that when an advance booking is made customers should give at least 24 hours notice of any cancellation or a charge equivalent to the cost of the activity may be made.
