Renewals

There are a number of ways in which you can renew your loans:

  • at your local library with your library card

  • online through the catalogue. You will need to log in using your library barcode (omit the P at the start) and your four digit PIN. If you don't have a PIN yet, contact your local library

  • by telephone, quoting your library barcode

  • by letter, quoting your library barcode

If you want to renew CDs and DVDs, the cost of another hire charge for each item will be added to your account. This also applies if you carry out your renewal online.

You can have a maximum of two unseen renewals - that is, where the items you have on loan are not brought into the library for renewing. Further renewals may be possible but you need to bring your items into your local library for re-stamping. Items reserved by another borrower cannot be renewed.

Reservations

If you log in to the catalogue, you can reserve any item which is currently on loan and we will tell you when it is ready for collection. Adults pay a small charge for this service.

Even if we do not have a copy of the item you are after, we will try to borrow it for you from another library, or we will consider buying a copy if it is in print.
