Schools - catering
The Facilities Management section of our Education department is responsible for providing school catering. Our aim is to contribute to the whole school approach, by providing all young people with a healthy and nutritious meal every day.
We are fully committed to meeting the requirements of the Scottish Government's 'Hungry for Success' initiative, which aims to improve the health of young people and forms part of the overall strategy to improve the health and lifestyle of the whole population. This initiative states that:
"Improving children’s diet can make a major impact on the health of children, with beneficial outcomes for educational attainment and improved health in later life."
