Improvements and modernisation

For council owned properties which are particularly old the council will implement a modernisation scheme to bring the property up to acceptable standards. This may involve rewiring, new windows, new doors etc.

We give our tenants (min) 28 days notice of these improvements.

SHQS for 2015

All ERC properties are being modernized to accommodate new kitchens, bathrooms and doors, along with the provision of lead free pipe-work re-wiring (where required) and new windows (where required) .

The current Housing Services Capital programmes are working their way through the housing stock and have agreed dates for modernizing the property.
