It has responsibility for a range of functions aimed at improving private sector housing in East Renfrewshire, including:

• Registration of Private Landlords Scheme
• Licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO)
• Private Landlord Forum
• Private Sector Housing Strategy
• Implementation of terms of Housing (Scotland) Act 2006
