How do I join the library?

Joining the library is free and it's easy to do:

  • complete the library joining form below, OR

  • complete a membership form at your local library

You need to provide one piece of identification, which can be:

  • a passport

  • a driving licence

  • a utility bill or bank statement with your full postal address

If you qualify for a concession on library services, you'll also need to provide proof of your status, such as a pension book.

When your enrolment is complete, you'll be issued with a card which will allow you to borrow straight away. You can use your card at any of our libraries in East Renfrewshire. If you lose it, there is a £1.50 replacement charge.

You must complete all fields in this form, except email, which is optional.

When you submit your completed form, library staff will use the details to prepare your library card.

Visit your chosen library within two weeks of sending your details. You’ll be asked to sign a form agreeing to the terms and conditions of library membership.

Please bring one piece of identification with you, as outlined above.
