Sponsored walk in the park raises £470
Over 150 first year pupils from Woodfarm High School and a group of parent helpers set off around Rouken Glen Park last week on a sponsored walk.
Seventy five per cent of the £470 raised will be donated to the Dambo school in the village of Kaponda in Malawi with the remainder going towards school funds.
Richard Phelan, social justice manager at Woodfarm High School said: "We hope to be able to finance the construction of a new classroom with the money raised."
