My First Library Card

You’re never too young to join the library!

With the kind permission of his creator, local author and illustrator Moira Munro, Hamish the bear from the books ‘Hamish: The Bear Who Found His Child’ and ‘Hamish and the Missing Teddy’ appears on a new library card designed especially for the very youngest East Renfrewshire library members.

With this card children are able to borrow from a huge range of items including ‘touch and feel’ picture books, board books, story sacks, and the very latest children’s DVDs.

The library website address appears on the card too, so carers of young members can find out about the many pre-school storytimes and bounce and tickle sessions held in libraries across East Renfrewshire as well as searching the on line catalogue and renewing books.
