If you're worried about how much you're drinking, or about someone you know, talk about it. There are people and organisations, in your local area, or at the end of the phone who want to help.

Alcohol Focus Scotland
AFS aims to improve change Scotland's drinking culture - promoting responsible drinking behaviour and discouraging drinking to excess. They offer an information service producing a range of useful leaflets, factsheets and other materials.

RCA (RCA) Trust
RCA Trust operates an Alcohol Advice Centre which provides a confidential one-to-one counselling services to people with alcohol related difficulties. This is based at Fairweather Hall, Barrhead Road, Newton Mearns, G77 on Tuesdays between 1pm-4pm
The Trust also run a Young Persons Advisory Project for people aged under 26, offering advice, assessments and interventions regarding drugs or alcohol, stress or gambling.
A counseling service takes place in the new Auchenback Resource Centre, Blackburn Square, Barrhead, G78 2NF on Thursday evenings from 5pm-8pm.

Al-Anon
For families and friends of alcoholics offers understanding and support for families and friends of problem drinkers, whether or not the drinker in their lives recognises that a problem exists. Groups meet all over Glasgow, Paisley and South Lanarkshire. Check on the site for the one closest to you.
Alateen
A part of Al-Anon, Alateen is for young people aged 12-17 who have been affected by someone else's drinking, usually that of a parent.
