Stay Safe Online

The Internet is wonderful thing - we can talk to people thousands of miles away, book a holiday without leaving the house and find the answers to almost any question with a click of a mouse.
But there is a downside: the very things that we enjoy most about the Internet - free flowing communication and easy access to information - are often misused by corrupt people.
There are three areas in particular to consider when you're using a PC to access the Internet:
- How to safeguard your privacy and avoid identity theft
- How to protect your computer against hackers and viruses
- How to keep children and young people safe online
You'll find books on a variety of computing topics at your local library. Check the library catalogue to find something at your nearest branch.
