Private landlords

The private sector team manages the council responsibilities towards landlords and their tenants.

The private sector housing team is a part of the housing services.

It has responsibility for a range of functions aimed at improving private sector housing in East Renfrewshire, including:

  • Implementation of the terms of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006
  • Registration of Private Landlords Scheme
  • Licensing of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs)
  • Private Landlord Forum
