Travel Points

The Council has recently created 2 "Travel Points" where bus and train time tables are available together with other brochures relating to public transport. The "Travel Points" are located in the foyer of the headquarters building in Eastwood Park and also within the Customer First hall within the office in Main Street, Barrhead.

Public transport

East Renfrewshire Council wishes to promote travel by public transport as a relatively affordable, convenient, reliable, accessible and safe means of getting around, both locally and further afield. However, a constant problem for travellers considering using the train or bus is the difficulty in obtaining timetable and route/stop information. In order to overcome this obstacle the government has established a service named Traveline - it can provide a wealth of information, via the telephone or the internet, upon most forms of public transport Britain-wide and it may be accessed by ringing 0870 608 2 608 OR by visiting Traveline website.
