Community based activities can help you to learn new skills, keep active, meet people, make a difference in your community and have fun.

What types of activities can I join?

  • Sports and leisure activities such as walking, cycling, gardening, arts and drama groups

  • Local volunteering opportunities can be found at East Renfrewshire Voluntary Action, and Scotland wide volunteering opportunities at Volunteer Scotland 

  • Learning new skills such as computing, languages, arts and crafts and cooking
  • Community action groups such as the Tenants' and Residents' Associations, Seniors' Forums or community councils.
