British Sign Language (BSL) Plan

Plan setting out actions to help ensure deaf and deafblind BSL users are fully involved in all aspects of daily and public life

The British SIgn Language (BSL) plan for East Renfrewshire sets out the actions the Council and its relevant partners will take over the period 2018-2024.

It is framed around the same long-term goals as the BSL National Plan 2017-2023, published on 24 October 2017, which was developed through extensive engagement with deaf and Deafblind BSL users and those who work with them.

It has been produced following conversations between the relevant Council departments, BSL users, East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure Trust.

You can also download the pdf icon English version of the plan [258kb].
