It is recognised that most people want to live in good, peaceful neighbourhoods where there are no problems with litter, graffiti or anti social behaviour.

Community learning and development provides young people (under 25) and adults (aged 16+) with skills for life, learning and work. It also supports community groups to be independent, sustainable and to make meaningful contribution to their community.
Although the council does not run any bus or train services, we have a big role to play in improving infrastructure and encouraging residents to use public transport.
