How can I reduce car pollution?

  • avoid using cars for short journeys
  • care for your car. Check tuning, tyre pressure, breaks and fuel consumption
  • get a regular service
  • remove weight you don't need. For example,  a roof rack
  • consider low rolling resistance tyres
  • use higher gears when you can
  • switch off your engine when stopped
  • only use air conditioning when you need it
  • share journeys or lift share
