Criminal Justice Social Work Services

What happens at the end of the supervision period?

The length of time that an offender is supervised on licence depends on the length of sentence, the type of licence and the risk represented to the public.

Most licences include a date when supervision will end. At this stage, the social worker will advise the Parole Board that the offender has finished supervision. An assessment of the risk of re-offending and harm will also be provided.
