Scottish Election 2017

On Thursday 4 May 2017 elections took place across Scotland to elect new councillors.

Electors in East Renfrewshire were asked to elect a total of 18 councillors across 5 wards.

This is a reduction from the former 20 councillor/6 ward composition of the council and has been introduced by the Scottish Government following the review of local authority wards and councillor numbers by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland.

Information on the candidates elected and other information about the election can be found on the Local Government Election Results 2017 page.
