What is the Mixed Tenure Scheme?

East Renfrewshire Council funds the Mixed Tenure Scheme which provides a free service to carry out work to common areas which are often not covered by title deeds or which are of community benefit to owners and tenants in your building. The sort of work carried out by the mixed tenure scheme (MTS) includes:

  • Close painting

  • Small wall repairs (small repairs as opposed to small walls)

  • Slabbing and path repairs

  • Tree reduction and removal

  • Large Hedge reduction and removal

  • Overgrown garden clearance

  • Un-attributed waste clearance

  • Fence erection and repair

  • Drainage works

  • Gutter cleaning and repair

Other requests can be considered provided they fit the criteria that is a mixed tenure issue and cannot be carried out through other processes.
