The Eaglesham Heritage Trail

The trail was developed by the Eaglesham and Waterfoot Community Development Trust in 2011.

It was updated and refreshed as part of the Heritage Lottery Fund application.

The trail starts at Polnoon Lodge and finishes at St Bridget's Church. It provides several panels of photos, text and diagrams, telling the fascinating story of the village. From the creation of the village and its textile industry, through to the crash landing of Rudolph Hess in 1941. It also tells the story of restoration of the village in the 1960s and 1970s.

The guide also offers information on places of interest in the wider surrounding area.  The trail guide can be picked up at various locations in Eaglesham.
