We still need Supported Carers

Local homes are needed for young people aged 16-21, could you help?

Become a supported carer

It's Fostering Fortnight from 14 - 27 May, so it's an apt time to remind residents we still need Supported Carers.

Supported carers are essentially foster carers for 16-21 year olds. As a supported carer you will be helping a local young person who isn't quite ready to live on their own just yet.

Being placed with the right carer locally will give East Renfrewshire young people the opportunity to continue with their education or employment, keep the same circle of friends, and give them the stability to thrive with a family that can give them the love and support that they need.

If you're aged 21+, enjoy working with young people and have a spare room - please give us a call on 0141 577 8300 or find out more at

We provide a wealth of training, a generous allowance and take an individual approach to matching the carer, their family and the young person to ensure you are well suited.

Be amazing. Become a supported carer.
