Steps to use HomeSwapper
Register on HomeSwapper, describe your current home, and set your preferences for the home you're looking for.
HomeSwapper will automatically show you potential swaps based on your needs, whether it's a one-to-one exchange or a multiway swap involving more than two households.
You can message potential swap partners, arrange viewings, and decide if the swap is right for you.
Once you've found a match, you'll need to apply for permission from your housing provider to complete the exchange.
Steps to complete the Mutual Exchange Application Process
If you're an existing council tenant with East Renfrewshire Council you will need to have a live waiting list application or register on this list before requesting a mutual exchange application form from your Neighbourhood Housing Officer.
If you're a local Housing Association tenant or your housing provider is in another authority area, you'll need to contact your housing provider to obtain information about they're process.

- if still refused, you can appeal to the Sheriff Court
Timeline
