Apply for a charity collections licence.

To make public or house-to-house collections for charitable purposes you need a permit from the local authority, unless you hold an exemption.

There's no fee for a charity collections licence.

What happens next?

Your application will be processed. If you don't hear from us within a reasonable period, phone 0141 577 4684.

If your application is refused

If your licence is refused you can appeal to the Sheriff by writing to:

The appeal must be made within 14 days of the refusal.
